Blewett brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the MTN Operations Executive for Markets.

In this capacity, he oversaw the Group’s smaller West and Central Africa markets and provided operational support across the region to the Group’s Senior Vice President for Markets.
However, his association with MTN isn’t new; he has held significant roles within the company previously.

He served as the CEO of MTN Benin and later as the CEO of MTN Cameroon, accumulating a total of seven years of experience within the MTN network.

Blewett’s extensive experience in telecommunications, particularly within the African market, positions him well to lead MTN Ghana.

His leadership will be instrumental in driving the company’s growth and strategic objectives in the Ghanaian telecommunications sector.

“We welcome Stephen into the MTN Ghana family and look forward to working with him to move the company forward to achieve our Ambition 2025 strategy and beyond,” says the Chairman of the Board of MTN Ghana, Ishmael Yamson.

MTN Ghana, a key player in the telecommunications sector and a leader in fintech services, has demonstrated impressive growth in its Mobile Money (MoMo).

This substantial increase in MoMo revenue underscores the growing significance of fintech services within MTN Ghana’s overall business portfolio and highlights the company’s success in monetizing its mobile money platform.

As a key player in the country’s telecommunications industry, MTN Ghana’s continued focus on driving innovation and enhancing its fintech offerings is likely to contribute significantly to its continued success and market leadership in the country.
